At Atlanta Gold & Coin Buyers, we offer accurate appraisals and generous offers on individual coins, coin collections, bullion, and American paper currency. If you’re interested in selling your coins, we can provide up-to-date information on their values and determine whether or not we can make you a purchase offer based on the types of coins and currency we are currently accepting.
What we buy
We purchase bullion in the form of bars, rounds, and ingots containing gold, silver, platinum, or palladium. We accept pieces regardless of their condition and whether the mint or producer is private or government.
We buy silver coins, gold coins, platinum coins, and palladium coins regardless of their denomination, year, condition, or country of origin. These include but are not limited to common collector’s pieces such as U.S. Morgan and Peace dollars minted in 1935 or earlier, U.S. half dollars minted in 1970 or earlier, and U.S. dimes and quarters minted before 1964. We also purchase other old, rare, numismatic, collectible, and commemorative coins in raw and certified condition, as well as many types of U.S.-minted sets.
Except for specific special edition and commemorative coins, most United States coins minted after 1964 contain no precious metals and are therefore worth little more than their face value.
We buy many types of American paper currency and notes including Continental currency, Confederate bills, U.S. bank and state-issued notes, fractional U.S. currency, obsolete U.S. banknotes, large U.S. notes and silver certificates from 1923 or earlier. Additionally, we purchase U.S. gold certificates from 1928 or earlier, National Banknotes from 1929 or earlier, 1934 & 1935 emergency use Hawaii (brown stamp) and North Africa bills (yellow stamp) and $500 and $1,000 bills produced in 1934 or earlier.
What we not buy
Although there is a wide range of items we do accept, there are some pieces we are not interested in buying. Except for certified, special-issue, complete collections, or key date coins, we do not purchase the following coins and currency:
We also do not buy stamps, watches, diamonds, precious stones, gold nuggets, jewelry, or sterling silverware. However, we do have industry contacts and are happy to provide you with referrals for preferred rates.
